About Me
I am a KiwiSaver and Investment Adviser at DUX Financial, helping people make clear, confident decisions about their money at every stage of life.
Much like investing, my path into financial advice was not a straight line. After spending six years as an auto technician, I went through a period of rebuilding my own financial position. That experience changed how I think about money and led me into financial services, starting at Westpac to build foundational experience, followed by an adviser role with Booster NZ, and now working alongside Thivakar at DUX Financial.
I naturally think in an unorthodox, out-of-the-box way, which I now see as a strength rather than something to hide. I enjoy problem-solving, simplifying complex ideas, and helping people see options they may not have considered.
What I Enjoy Most About My Role
What I enjoy most about being an adviser is working with people across their full financial journey. This includes building financial understanding, supporting first-home pathways, reviewing KiwiSaver and investment strategies, and helping clients understand their current situation to help improve their future. I take a practical, education-first approach and focus on helping clients understand not just what they are doing, but why it matters for their future.
Favourite Quote
One quote that strongly resonates with me is:
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Outside of Work
Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy heading away to the beach and exploring New Zealand in our converted Delica D5 campervan. I also enjoy bush and nature walks, working on cars, improving our home, and language learning. These and many other interests reflect my curiosity, love of problem-solving, and appreciation for balance.
